Software Verification Engineer

The Role

• Software escrow rests on a simple promise: if a critical vendor fails, the software can still be recovered.

• As a Software Verification Engineer, you make that promise real. You assess deposited codebases, establish that they can be independently rebuilt and deployed, resolve the technical questions that call for genuine judgment, and produce the recoverability assessment that clients depend on.

• You own that assessment end to end. It is written in your own words and backed by company's certification and signed evidence. You will work with the support of modern tooling, but the judgment, and the final call on whether a system can be recovered, are yours.

What You'll Do

• Verify recoverability: work through deposited codebases and establish whether each one can be independently rebuilt and run.

• Apply engineering judgment: resolve the technical questions that need real expertise, hands-on across containers, orchestration, and infrastructure.

• Coordinate with clients and vendors: run structured technical conversations to close gaps in understanding.

• Own the assessment: author the recoverability report that clients rely on, in your own words and backed by Company's certification.

What We're Looking For

• Container and orchestration fluency: hands-on ability to read, write, and correct Dockerfiles, CI pipeline definitions, and Kubernetes and Helm configuration.
• Third-party service depth: practical, configuration-level understanding of common services such as relational and NoSQL databases, message queues, caches, search, and object storage, and the failure modes that typically arise.
• Microservices judgment: experience with microservices architectures and the ability to validate service to service communication and dependency maps.
• Clear written communication: you will own the final recoverability report the client relies on, so it has to read clearly and stand up to scrutiny.
• Client and vendor handling: comfort coordinating with external parties to draw out missing technical knowledge.
• AI-assisted working: fluent and comfortable with modern AI tooling, with the judgment to use it well and to know when to rely on it.
• Background: you may come from software escrow, DevOps or platform consultancy, or SRE and reliability engineering, with 1 to 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Nice to have: previous software escrow or source-code verification work; familiarity with Terraform or cloud-managed service configuration; experience packaging a range of application types, including mobile or desktop.
