About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Design Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing efficient and cost-effective Solar PV systems while working closely with our Sales, Project, and Licensing teams to deliver high-quality solar solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design complete Solar PV systems using AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, and other relevant design software.
• Prepare Solar PV system layouts, electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), power & control circuit diagrams, switchboard and control panel designs, and cable routing plans.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to ensure optimal and cost-effective system design while complying with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform energy yield analysis, system sizing, and technical calculations.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales, Project, and Licensing teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
• Provide technical support throughout project implementation when required.
• Ensure all engineering documentation is accurate and properly maintained.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in electrical or Solar PV system design.

• Experience in the Solar Energy industry will be an added advantage.

• Familiar with Google SketchUp & AutoCAD.

• Experience with PVSyst, Helioscope, or other Solar PV design software is highly preferred.

• Good understanding of electrical systems, Solar PV design principles, and relevant industry standards.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.

• Able to work independently and perform well under tight deadlines.

• Good time management, planning, and communication skills.

• Responsible, proactive, committed, and self-motivated.
