About the Role

We are looking for a Solar Design Engineer specializing in rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems to support the planning and design of large-scale installations. The role focuses on efficient system layout, string design, and optimization using industry-standard software tools.

What You’ll Do

• Perform occupancy planning for rooftop PV systems, ensuring optimal space utilization and compliance with structural and safety constraints

• Design and optimize PV system layouts, including module placement and tilt/orientation strategies

• Conduct string planning and configuration to maximize system efficiency and meet inverter requirements

• Prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD

• Use simulation tools such as PVSol to analyze system performance and energy yield

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure design feasibility and implementation accuracy

• Review project requirements and adapt designs accordingly

• Support documentation and design standardization processes

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in solar system design or renewable energy projects

• Strong understanding of PV systems, inverters, and electrical systems

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations

• Proficiency in design and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst)

• Knowledge of grid-connected and off-grid systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Solid understanding of string design principles and PV system configuration

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
