Solar Energy Technician

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Solar O&M Technician to join our growing renewable energy team. This role is responsible for the continuous operations, daily monitoring, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to ensure optimal energy generation and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting & Rectification:

Diagnose and rectify system faults, technical alarms, and performance issues promptly.

• Daily Monitoring:

Monitor system performance metrics daily to identify and resolve energy generation abnormalities.

• Electrical Testing:

Perform comprehensive electrical tests, including voltage, current, insulation resistance, continuity, and earthing measurements.

• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:

Attend to emergency breakdowns immediately and execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities.

• Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare accurate maintenance reports, site inspection checklists, and corrective action documentation.

• Coordination:

Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient maintenance scheduling.

Requirements:

• Education & Background:

Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

• Experience:

Open to Fresh Graduates (Junior level) or candidates with 1-3 years of practical experience in solar PV, electrical, or facilities maintenance.

• Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of solar PV components (panels, inverters, combiner boxes, and monitoring systems) and competency in reading electrical drawings/SLDs.

• Tools Capability:

Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers.

• Preferred Certificate:

Candidates holding a valid Wireman (e.g., PW4) or Chargeman competency certificate issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga - ST) will be given strong preference.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,499.00 per month
