Solar Technical Engineer

Makati | Full-Time | Onsite & Field-Based

Onsolar is expanding its Makati technical team and is looking for a Solar Technical Engineer who can both execute and lead solar PV projects from planning through commissioning. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, managing installation teams, and delivering high-quality solar energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage solar PV installations (5 kW–100+ kW)
• Conduct site surveys and installation planning
• Prepare/review layouts, SLDs, and as-built drawings
• Supervise installers, electricians, and subcontractors
• Lead testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support
• Ensure quality, safety, and project documentation
• Coordinate with clients, sales, and operations teams

Qualifications

• Experience handling 5 kW–100+ kW solar projects
• Knowledge of on-grid, hybrid, and off-grid systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software
• Strong leadership and site management skills
• Resides in or near Makati
• Preferably Owns a motorcycle or car
• Willing to work onsite and in the field

Preferred: Licensed Electrical Engineer, COSH Certified, commercial solar experience.
