Solar Engineer Manager - 5 yrs experience - EDSA, QC

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, or renewable energy engineering.

5 years of experience in solar design, engineering, or project delivery.

Previous leadership or team management experience in an engineering environment.

Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, inverters, BOS, and interconnection.

Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and permitting requirements.

Experience with design software and energy modeling tools used in solar projects.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

Professional Engineer license or equivalent credential is preferred.

Responsibilities Lead and manage solar engineering teams across multiple active projects.

Review photovoltaic system designs for quality, safety, and code compliance.

Coordinate with project management, procurement, and construction stakeholders.

Establish engineering standards, templates, and quality control procedures.

Support equipment selection, interconnection design, and technical documentation.

Mentor engineers and provide guidance on technical problem-solving.

Monitor project schedules and engineering deliverables to meet deadlines.

Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies early.

Collaborate with clients, utilities, and consultants on design requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and design efficiency.
