Job Description

Elevation Energy Solutions is seeking experienced Solar Installation Crews and Subcontractors throughout California to support our growing residential solar installation operations.

We are looking for established, reliable installation teams capable of completing high-quality residential solar PV installations, including battery storage systems, while maintaining strong workmanship, safety, and scheduling standards.

We have installation opportunities throughout Northern California, Central California, and Southern California and are looking to establish long-term partnerships with qualified subcontractors.

Compensation & Material Responsibilities

• Base Installation Rate: $0.55 per watt (PPW).
• Additional Adders: Available for qualifying scope of work beyond standard installation.
• Bill of Materials (BOM): Provided by Elevation Energy Solutions.
• Balance of System (BOS): Provided by the installation subcontractor.
• Consistent Installation Opportunities: Ongoing residential solar projects throughout California.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete residential rooftop solar PV installations according to approved plans and engineering specifications.
• Install solar modules, racking, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
• Install and integrate residential battery storage systems, including Tesla Powerwall and Enphase equipment, when applicable.
• Provide all required BOS materials, installation tools, labor, and equipment.
• Complete electrical wiring, conduit installation, equipment mounting, and system interconnections.
• Ensure installations comply with NEC, California Electrical Code, and local AHJ requirements.
• Coordinate with Elevation Energy's operations team regarding installation scheduling and project requirements.
• Provide complete installation documentation, photos, and closeout reports.
• Address installation corrections and support inspection requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with homeowners and internal project teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential solar installation experience preferred.
• Established installation crew with the ability to complete multiple projects per week.
• Active California contractor's license with appropriate classification for the contracted scope of work.
• General liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage as required.
• Experience installing Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge, and other major solar equipment.
• Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and California installation requirements.
• Ability to provide BOS materials and necessary installation equipment.
• Reliable transportation, tools, and crew management.
• Strong communication, workmanship, and project documentation standards.

Preferred Experience

• Tesla Powerwall 3 installations.
• Enphase battery storage installations.
• Main panel upgrades (MPUs) and electrical service modifications.
• Residential solar and battery commissioning.
• Experience working with third-party ownership (TPO) financing programs.
• Ability to handle multiple residential installations weekly.
• Experience coordinating with local building departments and utility companies.
