Solar Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Solar Maintenance Engineer holds overall responsibility for the PMS business — the service scopes offered to clients, the schedules committed to under contract, the technical quality of every site visit, and the service reports issued. The position establishes the maintenance standards, builds and trains the field team, and serves as the final technical authority on fault diagnosis and corrective works.

Qualifications

• PRC-licensed Registered Electrical Engineer (REE); PEE a strong advantage.
• At least three (3) years in solar PV, including hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, or O&M, with a minimum of one (1) year directing technicians or crews.
• Demonstrated fault-finding capability on grid-tied commercial and industrial systems.
• Proficiency on major inverter platforms (Huawei, Sungrow, SolarEdge, Growatt) and their monitoring portals.
• Competent use of test instruments: insulation tester, clamp meter, earth resistance tester, IV curve tracer, and thermal camera.
• Working knowledge of the Philippine Electrical Code, net-metering rules, and distribution utility interconnection requirements.
• Clear written English, sufficient for client-facing technical and service reporting.
• Able to work at height, travel to sites nationwide, and respond to callouts outside normal working hours.
• Valid driver's licence

Preferred Qualifications

• DOLE-accredited safety training (COSH / SO2 or SO3).
• Hybrid inverter and battery storage service experience.
• Experience managing service contracts, service level agreements, or a CMMS / ticketing system.
• Experience auditing and taking over systems installed by other contractors.
• Manufacturer service or commissioning certifications.
