Job Title: Solar Net Metering Executive / Officer

Role Overview

You will manage the end-to-end net metering and utility approval process for residential and commercial solar rooftop projects. Your core duty is to bridge the gap between customers, internal technical teams, and electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs) to secure timely approvals and bi-directional meter installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit online/offline net metering applications to local DISCOMs as per state and national guidelines.
• Handle complete documentation, including feasibility reports, test certificates, application forms, and subsidy paperwork (such as the PM Surya Ghar scheme**)**
• Coordinate regularly with DISCOM officials, electrical inspectors, and field engineers for application processing and site inspections.
• Follow up on pending files to ensure timely approvals and final net meter installation.
• Guide customers through the net metering process and provide regular status updates.
• Resolve any documentation, technical, or procedural objections raised by the utility board.
• Maintain accurate tracking logs of applications, approvals, inspections, and installations using CRM tools, Excel, or Google Sheets.
• Prepare regular management information system (MIS) reports on pending and completed cases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Education: Graduate in any discipline or 12th pass with relevant practical experience.

· Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in solar net metering, DISCOM/electricity-board liaisoning, or utility documentation.

· Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of solar rooftop systems, on-grid connections, and bi-directional metering concepts.

· Soft Skills: Strong follow-up, coordination, communication, and customer-handling abilities.

· IT Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and online utility portals.

Field Mobility: Willingness to travel locally to DISCOM offices and client installation sites when required
