Solar Operation & Maintenance Technical Engineer

Responsibilities:

● Perform remote/ on-site preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with O&M contracts and maintenance schedules.

● Carry out corrective maintenance (CM) for system faults, breakdowns, and performance issues.

● Ensure all works comply with safety procedures and industry best practices.

● Diagnose and troubleshoot common solar PV issues such as Inverter trips and faults, DC string failures, Monitoring and communication failures, and Meter and data logger issues

● Analyze alarms and fault codes from monitoring platforms and inverter systems.

● Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting where applicable.

● Restore system operation in the shortest possible time to minimize downtime.

● Identify underperforming systems, strings, or inverters.

● Conduct basic performance analysis including PR comparison, Generation deviation analysis and Degradation or shading issues

● Support corrective actions to improve system output and availability.

● Provide technical feedback on recurring issues to support engineering and quality improvement.

● Support RMA processes by Verifying actual equipment faults, Collecting serial numbers and fault evidence, Performing removal and replacement works

● Verify system functionality after RMA completion.

● Support commissioning and re-commissioning of inverters, monitoring systems, and meters during O&M activities.

● Conduct functional testing after repairs or component replacement.

● Verify system operation, data visibility, and safety before handover.

● Prepare and submit technical service reports, including Fault description, Root cause analysis, Rectification method and Photos before and after works

● Comply strictly with site safety rules, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work systems.

● Provide technical input for customer complaints and technical explanations when required.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
