What they need
Job Summary:
We are a solar installation company serving residential and commercial customers, excited to take on a proactive and highly organized Solar Operations Coordinator to hold the administrative and operational backbone of our business. In the position you'll look after permitting, utility interconnection applications, and third-party ownership paperwork, coordinate service and warranty requests, and put in place the systems that keep our projects moving. We want a true self-starter who takes initiative, comes alive in a fast-paced setting, and can bring order to complex, shifting parts with little hand-holding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw up and lodge solar permit applications with local building departments and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Complete, lodge, and track utility interconnection applications with the relevant utility providers
- Look after third-party ownership (TPO) paperwork, taking in leases and power purchase agreements (PPAs) with financing partners
- Coordinate service and warranty requests, taking in scheduling and follow-up with customers and installation crews
- Set up and configure a CRM from the ground up to arrange leads, projects, and customer records
- Hold project documentation accurate and keep every application, approval, and record current
- Back marketing efforts that help turn up and nurture leads
- Write up existing workflows and build standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasks
- Call out gaps proactively and put forward improvements across daily operations
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven track record in administrative or operations support
- Ease handling detailed paperwork, applications, and government or regulatory forms
- Strong ability to pick up and move through online portals and application systems quickly
- Time spent setting up or looking after a CRM
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- A true self-starter who takes initiative and works on their own with little supervision
- Dependable, precise, and able to work on your own initiative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time spent in the solar, renewable energy, or construction industry
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with solar permitting, utility interconnection, or third-party ownership (TPO) paperwork
- History of coordinating service, warranty, or after-sales support
- Marketing grounding (social media, email, or lead generation)
- Ability to write up processes and build SOPs from scratch
- Capacity to carry several projects and priorities side by side
Why Join Us:
This is a chance to become the operational engine of an established, growing company where your work leaves a direct and visible mark. You'll have the latitude to build systems your own way, take real ownership of your responsibilities, and grow alongside the business.
