Solar Project Manager

We are looking for a candidate for the project manager role for our solar EPC project in Kenya. The candidate should relocate to Kenya to oversee the project implementation.

Role & responsibilities

solar project manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of solar energy projects from conception to completion, including planning, budget and schedule management, stakeholder communication, team leadership, and risk management. Key duties involve developing project plans, securing permits, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, and managing project financials. They are accountable for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

A preferred solar project manager profile includes a Bachelor's degree in engineering preferrably electrical, multiple years of experience in renewable energy project management preferably utility scale solar, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (optional). Key skills are strong leadership, risk management, and financial planning, along with technical knowledge of solar systems, engineering, and relevant software like PVsyst.
