The role

We're looking for an experienced, fully qualified Solar PV Electrician to install, test and commission domestic and small commercial solar PV and battery storage systems. You'll work alongside our roofing team, take ownership of the electrical side of each install, and be the face of the company on site. React to customers following Logged enquires in a timely mater at the companies discretion.

Key responsibilities

· Install, connect and commission solar PV systems, inverters and battery storage systems

· Carry out all associated electrical work, including consumer unit upgrades, isolation, earthing and bonding

· Test and inspect installations and complete certification in line with BS 7671 and MCS standards

· Complete DNO notifications, handover documentation and installation records

· Diagnose and resolve faults on new and existing systems

· Work closely with roofers and the office team to keep projects running on schedule

· Have a full understanding of all associated software and Apps for a number of manufacturers

· Handover systems clearly to customers at the same time promote the company in a positive manner

What you'll need

· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) and a gold ECS card

· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

· Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391)

· Level 3 Small Scale Solar PV qualification

· Level 3 Electrical Energy Storage Systems (battery storage) qualification

· Proven experience installing solar PV and battery systems

· Full UK driving licence

· Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach

Desirable

· Experience with EV charger installations

· Familiarity with MCS requirements and leading inverter and battery brands

· Knowledge of installs of the following manufacturers, Tesla, Fox, Eco Flow, Sig energy, Sunsynk, Goodwee,

· £45,000 – £50,000 salary depending on experience
