Our Solar Division connects homeowners with residential solar solutions while providing our representatives with the training, tools, and support needed to build a successful sales career.

We’re looking for driven, competitive, and outgoing individuals to join Horizon as Door-to-Door Solar Sales Representatives.

No solar experience? That’s okay. We’re looking for people who are coachable, motivated, and comfortable talking with customers face-to-face.

What You'll Do

As a Solar Sales Representative, you will:

• Prospect residential neighborhoods through door-to-door outreach
• Start conversations with homeowners about their energy costs and solar options
• Identify homeowners who may be a good fit for solar
• Educate potential customers on the benefits of residential solar
• Generate qualified appointments and/or sales opportunities
• Track customer interactions and sales activity
• Participate in optional coaching, training, and team development opportunities
• Represent Horizon professionally in the communities you work in

Previous experience in door-to-door sales, solar, roofing, pest control, alarms, telecommunications, automotive sales, or other commission-based sales is a plus, but not required.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor position with commission-based compensation.

• Uncapped earning potential

• Commission structure and payment schedule reviewed during the interview/onboarding process

Your earnings are determined by your individual sales results—there is no cap on what a strong producer can earn.

Schedule & Work Structure

This position is designed for independent, self-directed sales professionals. Representatives have flexibility in determining when and how they conduct their sales activities while meeting the requirements of their Independent Contractor Agreement.

This role requires in-person, door-to-door prospecting and is not a remote sales position.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation
• Smartphone with reliable service
• Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to conduct door-to-door residential sales
