Solar Sales Setter

Job Summary

As a Remote Solar Sales Representative, you are the first point of contact for homeowners interested in converting to clean, low-cost solar energy. Working entirely from home, your primary responsibility is to call warm, pre-qualified leads—people who have already requested information online or submitted a request for a solar savings estimate. You will qualify these homeowners, explain the basic benefits of transitioning to solar with zero upfront costs, and schedule them for a virtual consultation with our Senior Energy Consultants.

Duties

• Outbound Calling: Connect with warm leads in a timely, professional manner using our provided dialing platform and script guidelines.
• Lead Qualification: Verify homeownership, assess current electric bill costs, and evaluate the homeowner's motivations for exploring solar.
• Appointment Setting: Educate homeowners on the savings process and secure firm dates/times for a 15-to-20-minute virtual presentation with an expert consultant.
• Information Gathering: Request electric utility bill details or photos from homeowners to ensure accurate custom system designs prior to consultation.
• Objection Handling: Confidently address common homeowner questions regarding cost, timelines, and virtual consultation structure.

Qualifications

• Communication Skills: Excellent phone presence, clear articulation, active listening skills, and a confident, conversational tone.
• Sales Aptitude: Comfortable following a structured call script, handling basic objections, and asking closing questions to secure appointments.
• Self-Motivated: Strong discipline to manage call volume and meet daily/weekly appointment-setting goals working remotely.
