We're looking for an enthusiastic Sole Steward/ess to join our close-knit team on the Heritage Explorer. Starting in Sept 2026, this role will take you through New Zealand’s pristine waters and beyond.

The Role

Imagine a role that blends superior hospitality with the thrill of adventure. As the Sole Steward/ess, you’ll be the heart and soul of our vessel’s interior, ensuring that every guest experience is nothing short of extraordinary. But it’s not just about life onboard; you’ll also get to participate in zodiac trips and overland expeditions, encountering New Zealand’s unique wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Delivering exceptional housekeeping and F&B service
• Crafting personalized and memorable experiences for our guests
• Managing onboard inventory, including timely ordering and resupply
• Handling basic onboard accounting

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will have the right to live and work in New Zealand should be based in New Zealand or Australia and bring a mix of the following:

• Creativity & Adaptability: You can think on your feet and bring precision to your work. The shifts can be anywhere from 2 – 4 weeks onboard, the days will be long so your adaptability and ‘get it done’ attitude will take you far!
• Positive Vibes: A great attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. Being able to follow instructions is necessary in this environment also!
• Organizational Skills:  You are forward thinking and organized, can prioritize like a pro, and keep things running smoothly.
• Self-Sufficiency: Confidence in planning, especially when resupply isn’t an option.
• Flexibility: You can easily adapt your schedule to meet the needs of the adventure.
• Experience: At least 1 year in hospitality or the hotel industry at reputable establishments. Experience on a vessel is a bonus!
