About the role

Morgan Mac Lawyers is seeking a lawyer to join our experienced team in Brisbane. This full-time role will see you providing high-quality legal services to our diverse client base and gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of legal matters.

What you'll be doing

• Working with clients on a broad range of legal matters
• Advising and representing clients on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, business transactions and franchise matters
• Conducting legal research, preparing court documents, and managing the litigation process
• Negotiating settlements and resolutions to disputes, both in and out of court
• Attending Court and briefing Counsel
• Collaborating with the team to provide comprehensive client support
• Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
• Contributing to the ongoing development of the firm's litigation and dispute resolution practice

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in law and admission to practice as a solicitor in Queensland or interstate equivalent
• 1-2 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, commercially-focused legal advice
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients
• Excellent legal research skills
• Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse caseload and meeting deadlines
• A collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
