Solicitor - Private Client

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor with a strong background in relationship property to join our well-established general practice firm. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a varied workload across private client matters, with significant growth potential within our relationship property practice. You will have the autonomy to manage your own files while working as part of a supportive team, with guidance and mentorship from our directors.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a varied workload across private client and general practice matters, with a particular focus on relationship property
• Advising clients on relationship property matters, including contracting out agreements, separation and division of relationship property and related issues
• Managing matters independently from initial instruction through to completion, with support and guidance from the Directors as required
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements
• Providing clear, practical legal advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances
• Maintaining accurate file records and compliance with professional obligations
• Liaising with clients and other professionals

About you

• 5+ years' experience in private client and relationship property matters
• Sound knowledge of firm procedures and legal processes
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence in client interactions
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• A proactive, self-motivated and team-focused approach
