Job Overview

Action Cabinets Inc. is seeking a solid surface fabricator and/or cabinet maker to join our team. We are an architectural millwork company specializing in commercial projects throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest. Our projects include corporate headquarters, office spaces, receptions, hospitality environments, hospitals, education facilities, and specialty commercial interiors. We work alongside some of Chicagoland’s most respected general contractors.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solid Surface Fabricator/Cabinet Maker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into high-quality solid surface countertops and custom cabinetry. Your expertise in fabrication, assembly, and materials handling will ensure that each project meets our high standards of craftsmanship and precision. Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and millwork tools to cut, shape, and assemble solid surface materials and cabinetry components
• Measure and mark materials accurately according to project specifications
• Fabricate countertops, cabinets, and related fixtures with precision and attention to detail
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper storage and transportation
• Assemble finished products, verifying quality standards throughout the process
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, millwork tools, machining equipment used in fabrication and carpentry
• Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance
• Experience with manufacturing processes, millwork, assembly, and construction techniques
• Ability to handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Strong understanding of material handling, fabrication, and carpentry principles
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and equipment operation
• One year experience in woodworking, cabinetry, and/or solid surface fabrication is required
• Ability to handle heavy, raw materials up to 100 pounds and stand for long period of time
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
