SolidWorks Engineer

The Encompass Group is partnering with a well-established architectural millwork and custom fabrication organization to identify a skilled SolidWorks Engineer. This individual will develop 3D models, technical drawings, and fabrication documentation for custom cabinetry, casework, millwork, and specialty architectural components.

Work Arrangement: Fully remote for candidates located anywhere in the United States. Hybrid for candidates located near the company's facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
• Interpret architectural plans, project specifications, and design concepts to develop accurate, production-ready designs.
• Prepare technical drawings, dimensions, and bills of materials to support manufacturing.
• Collaborate with design, project management, and production teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Manage drawing revisions and resolve design discrepancies throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing development.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Experience in architectural millwork, cabinetry, casework, furniture, or custom fabrication is preferred.
• Familiarity with CNC manufacturing workflows is a plus.
