Solution Analyst Lead - Java / FICO Blaze

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a top tier bank to hire a Technical Lead/Solution Analyst - Java / FICO Blaze to support application development, project delivery and system enhancement initiatives.

About the Role 
The Challenge
Take ownership of end-to-end technology projects, translating business requirements into practical technical solutions while managing changing priorities, multiple workstreams and production issues.
The Opportunity
This role combines hands-on application development with project leadership and team mentoring. You will work closely with business stakeholders and vendors, lead system enhancements and strengthen delivery standards across the team.

What You Will Do

• Manage projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering and planning through implementation and delivery.
• Design, develop and implement application enhancements that meet technical and business requirements.
• Develop and integrate APIs with third-party systems and support web-based applications.
• Lead and mentor team members, promoting strong technical, delivery and documentation practices.
• Support production applications, troubleshoot issues and ensure system maintenance, uptime and SLA requirements are met

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Information System Engineering or Computer Science.
• 6-10 years' experience in development and application support.
• 6-10 years' experience with Java, with hands-on application development capability.
• Experience with FICO Blaze Advisor is an added advantage
• Strong experience in API integration, relational databases, SQL, ORM technologies and web application frameworks.

Skills and Attributes
Strong project lifecycle management, hands-on programming, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
