Solution Architect & Project Lead

Role summary

The single point of contact for the partner and the technical owner of the whole migration. You design the target Azure solution, run discovery, lead the team, and lead testing and the cutover night. You are both the senior architect and the person who keeps the project on plan.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops with the partner, the client and the application vendor; turn questionnaire answers into a dependency matrix
• Produce the target architecture, network design, and VM/storage capacity plan from discovery data
• Own design sign-off with the partner
• Own the project plan, weekly status reports, RAID log and change control
• Direct and review the work of the cloud, network and database engineers
• Lead SIT, performance and DR testing, the full cutover rehearsal and the production cutover, including rollback decisions
• Own final documentation, runbooks and knowledge transfer to the client

Must-have

• 10+ years in infrastructure or cloud, with 5+ years designing and delivering Azure solutions
• Proven track record leading at least 3 on-premises to Azure migrations end to end (VMs, SQL Server, AD, networking)
• Strong grasp of Azure landing zones, hub-and-spoke networking, identity, backup/DR and monitoring
• Experience running cutovers with rehearsal and rollback plans
• Strong stakeholder management with partners and clients; clear written documentation
• Azure certification such as AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert) or equivalent hands-on depth

Good to have

• Healthcare IT experience (HIS/PACS/DICOM, HL7)
• Experience in the GCC / Saudi market and with local compliance expectations (NPHIES, ZATCA, NCA/PDPL awareness)
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile delivery credentials

What independence looks like

You can run a client call, make a design decision, and defend it, without needing management in the room. You escalate commercial matters only.
