Solution Architect (Azure & Dynamics 365)

At Thaumatec, we deliver high-tech software and hardware solutions. We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our team and drive the technical strategy for complex, enterprise-scale projects. In this role, you will design and implement scalable Azure solutions that ensure operational efficiency for our international clients. You will balance scalability, future-proofing, and cloud economics while leading architectural decisions and guiding the implementation of robust integration frameworks.

Core Architectural Challenges:

• Designing resilient, event-driven cloud services on Azure (Container Apps, Functions, Cosmos DB) using Bicep for full Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation.
• Ensuring seamless data synchronization and business process continuity across ERP, CRM, and distributed external systems.
• Optimizing cloud economics, operational monitoring (Azure Monitor / Log Analytics), and automated CI/CD release cycles for high reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Architecture & Design: Design scalable, cost-effective cloud solutions using Azure services (Container Apps, Functions, Cosmos DB)

Drive provisioning of the solution infrastructure using IaC principles using Bicep and ARM templates

System Integration: Architect comprehensive data models and seamless integrations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE and/or F&O), ERP systems, CPQ modules, portals, and third-party industry APIs.

Technical Leadership: Lead Architectural Decision Records (ADR) meetings, document key decisions, and provide mentorship to engineering and DevOps teams.

Cloud Economics: Perform detailed cost analyses for cloud architecture, optimizing solutions for cost-effectiveness without compromising performance or reliability.

DevOps & Monitoring: Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and implement proactive system monitoring using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Must Haves:

Proven architectural experience: Strong background in designing enterprise-scale solutions and system integrations.

Advanced Azure Expertise: Deep understanding of Azure ecosystem, networking, security, and governance. Hands-on proficiency with Bicep (IaC).

Dynamics 365 Knowledge: Solid experience in designing and integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement and/or Finance & Operations) with external systems.

Leadership & Communication: Agile mindset with the ability to manage stakeholders, drive consensus, and translate business needs into technical roadmaps.

Fluent English (C1/C2): Excellent written and spoken communication skills for direct collaboration with international clients.

Nice to Haves:

Microsoft Certifications: Relevant certs such as PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect) or MB-700 (Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect).

Testing & DevOps: Familiarity with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) and performance testing tools (Azure Load Testing, NBomber).

Data & BI Stack: Understanding of Snowflake and ETL processes to facilitate reporting needs.
