Solution Architect

About the role

The Solution Architect will be responsible for ensuring that the architecture of Boost Bank's platforms, software, and systems aligns with the organization's strategic goals and roadmap. This role involves collaborating closely with software development teams, product managers, and quality assurance to define and implement architecture solutions that support Boost's financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with software development teams, product managers, and QA to ensure that platform, software, and systems architectures align with the ADC-wide software architecture plan
• Define solution architecture and design for products, features, and changes related to Boost's lending, Insuretech, prepaid card, and digital banking services
• Ensure that architectural designs comply with security best practices and group security requirements
• Participate in the development and maintenance of proposals, RFPs, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and functional specifications for the bank's platforms
• Devise and propose potential implementation options to deploy bank systems and components in public cloud, private cloud, or on-premise environments as necessary
• Lead workshops to provide insights on integration mechanisms between Boost Bank and its system partners/vendors
• Perform impact analysis on requirements, partner integration requests, and change requests to assess their implications on the architecture
• Provide guidance on network setup, design, and best practices to the implementation and support teams to ensure maximum availability and flexibility of Boost products, with a strong emphasis on security

About you

• At least 6-8 years in software development in Java, JavaScript and other backend platforms
• 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect or a related role
• Docker/Kubernetes experience and having deployed multiple projects in a micro-service design
• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network and infrastructure design
• Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) and infrastructure architecture frameworks
• Intermediate core UNIX/Linux knowledge including systems administration and networking
• Experience in solutioning and architecting in a SaaS and cloud environment, along with integrations to different systems and external applications
• Experience in translating business requirements into a technology proposal
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading project teams
• Strong communication, presentation skills and project management experience
