Solution Architect

Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Solution Architects for future ICT contract opportunities across the Australian Government. The work is likely to require designing end-to-end solutions for new and replacement systems on Microsoft Azure and SaaS platforms, producing architecture artefacts for governance approval, and guiding Agile delivery teams and vendors through build.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop solution architectures for new and replacement systems
• Translate business requirements into solution designs and technical options
• Produce solution architecture documents, design decisions and diagrams
• Assess options and make recommendations on platforms, products and build approaches
• Address security, performance, availability and scalability requirements in designs
• Present designs to architecture review and governance boards
• Provide technical guidance to Agile delivery teams during build
• Work with vendors and system integrators on design and delivery
• Plan for the decommissioning of legacy systems

Required Experience

• Minimum seven years in ICT, including at least three years as a Solution Architect
• Solution architecture on large government or enterprise programs
• Designing solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Designing solutions that include SaaS or COTS products
• Producing architecture artefacts for governance approval
• Working with Agile delivery teams and vendors

Desirable Experience

• TOGAF or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification
• Dynamics 365 or Power Platform solution design
• Knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM)
• Legacy system replacement programs
• Exposure to SAFe programs

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Must hold a current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (minimum)
• Likely to require an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance
• Those with current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearances preferred

Working Arrangements

• Likely hybrid
• Canberra preferred
