Solution Architect

Job Purpose To design system solutions, prepare user document and monitor UAT plan execution, aid in prioritization of projects and UATs and monitoring production issue resolution on a daily basis.

The role is also responsible for designing and documenting the workflow and making appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness.

Job Challenges:

• Understanding and gathering user requirement and preparing a business requirement document despite inadequate clarity of thought from the users
• Downloading the business requirement to IT team who lacks the required end to end process expertise.
• Downloading the business needs/criticalities to the vendors who lack the required domain expertise to address BSLI system requirements.
• Executing multiple projects simultaneously within their defined timelines with various iterations and limited resources.
• Aligning the work schedule basis constantly shifting organisational priorities.
• Managing user expectations considering the system limitations and process constraints.

Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 Understanding business process management and business requirements of the Operations team and translating them to specific user requirements. 1. Gathering user requirements for all sub verticals within operations related to various core and peripheral systems existing in BSLI.

• Understand the business needs, and ensure that requirement is accurately documented in requirement template.
• Defining the scope basis business needs and system constraints.
• Obtaining Sign-off from the stakeholders on the final UR and scheduling the same for development.

KRA2 Planning and monitoring UAT and ensure that timelines are met with expected quality parameters. 1. Planning and assigning of UAT’s received within the team

• Analysing and preparing Modal test points and downloading the testing scope to the team
• Reviewing the defects raised by the team and raising it with IT and follow up for resolution.
• Monitoring the execution of test cases as planned and signing-off the UAT within set timeline and quality parameters.
• Preparing System Manuals, Imparting training to the team members & stakeholders
• Maintaining repository of test packs and requirement documents for all system changes for effective utilisation in future
• Monitoring Post production movement and ensuring smooth handover of activity to the stakeholders.

KRA3 Monitoring the production issues and providing timely resolution as per the set quality standard. 1. Monitoring the production issues raised by users and providing timely resolution with set quality standards.

• Reporting of system bugs to IT identified at the time of production issues analysis and following up with IT team for timely resolution.
• Proactively raise change request with IT for strengthening system validations in order to avoid/minimise the recurrence of the errors.

KRA4 Monitor the readiness of BSLI and vendor systems before product launch 1. Preparing and maintaining phase 1 and phase 2 system features basis the occurrence of the event.

• Raising the change request at vendors end and at IT for immediate and vital changes within set timelines.
• Monitoring and coordinating UAT of new product for all internal and vendor systems and signing-off within set timeline and quality parameters.
• Documenting the process changes and imparting training on new product features to the stakeholders.

KRA5 Monitor the performance of team to ensure the objectives of the department are accomplished. 1. Analyzing the roles and responsibility of various team members and design the Key responsibility Areas for the team based on the expertise and designations.

• Guiding team to achieve the company and personal goals.
• Identify exceptional performance and recommend for further elevations to reporting manager.
