   Role Summary       

Own the end-to-end architecture of an insurance distributor portal built on ReactJS and a Java Spring Boot Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) on AWS, integrating with core insurance and enterprise systems through an API orchestration layer.

 Key Responsibilities     

• Define the target architecture across the React UI, the BFF, the orchestration APIs and the backend systems.

• Design the BFF for API aggregation, session and token handling, role-based access and coaching.

• Translate requirements into solution designs (HLD/LLD), API contracts, architecture decision records and NFRs.

• Set standards for security, performance, resilience and observability.

• Govern design reviews and CI/CD and guide the development and vendor teams.

  Must-Have Skills

• Solution Design: Microservices, domain-driven, event-driven and API-first design, integration patterns, C4/UML modelling, NFR and capacity sizing

• Design Tools: Sparx Enterprise Architect or ArchiMate, Draw.io, Lucidchart or Visio, Swagger/Postman, Confluence

• Backend: Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST/OpenAPI

• Frontend: ReactJS, TypeScript

• BFF: API aggregation layers for web portals

• Cloud and DevOps: AWS (EKS), Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub CI/CD

• Security: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, PII protection

  Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in the life insurance domain (servicing and claims)

• Kafka, Redis, and integrations with OCR, DMS and eKYC

• AWS or TOGAF certification

  Experience and Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience, including at least 4 years as a solution architect

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
