ROLE OVERVIEW

UpraisIT is looking for an experienced and technically versatile Part-Time Solution Architect to support the design, development, and implementation of enterprise software solutions for a client in the Construction and Hospitality industry.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience across Business Analysis, Solution Architecture, and Full-Stack Development, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and technically sound software solutions.

The Solution Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, Project Managers, developers, and other technical teams to understand business requirements, design system architecture, evaluate technical solutions, and support the development and implementation of HRIS, Payroll, ERP, Timekeeping, Workforce Management, and other enterprise business systems.

A strong understanding of frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, cloud architecture, system integration, and enterprise software development is highly important for this role.

This is a part-time hybrid role requiring 4 hours per day during Philippine dayshift hours, with reporting to the client's office in Ortigas, Pasig City 1–2 times per week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solution designs
• Design and define scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures aligned with business requirements
• Bridge communication between business stakeholders, Project Managers, developers, and technical teams
• Lead technical discussions, solution design sessions, and architecture reviews
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, system documentation, and solution proposals
• Evaluate existing systems, processes, and technologies and recommend appropriate technical solutions
• Provide technical direction and guidance to software developers and technical teams
• Design and oversee frontend, backend, database, API, and system integration components
• Review and validate technical designs, development approaches, and implementation deliverables
• Design and oversee REST APIs and system integrations
• Review database architecture, data models, performance, and reliability
• Provide guidance on cloud architecture, infrastructure, deployment, scalability, and system performance
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, limitations, and opportunities for improvement
• Work with developers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Support system development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and implementation activities
• Troubleshoot and help resolve complex technical and architectural issues
• Ensure that technical solutions align with business processes, requirements, and project objectives
• Participate in project meetings, technical workshops, solution reviews, UAT, deployment, and other implementation activities
• Maintain clear and accurate technical and solution documentation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Strong professional experience in Business Analysis, Solution Architecture, and Full-Stack Development
• Previous experience leading or architecting enterprise software projects
• Strong understanding of frontend and backend development
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, system integrations, and cloud architecture
• Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with enterprise software development and implementation projects
• Experience working with business stakeholders as well as software developers
• Experience with HRIS, Payroll, ERP, Timekeeping, or Workforce Management systems is highly preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a part-time setup
• Willing to work 4 hours per day during Philippine dayshift hours
• Willing to report to the client's office in Ortigas, Pasig City 1–2 times per week

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with the following technologies is an advantage:

• React / Next.js

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Technical Lead, Full-Stack Developer, Business Analyst, or similar role
• Experience leading or architecting enterprise software projects
• Experience with HRIS, HCM, Payroll, Timekeeping, Workforce Management, or ERP systems
• Experience in software implementation, customization, or systems integration
• Experience designing enterprise application and integration architectures
• Experience with cloud-based architecture and deployment
• Knowledge of API design and enterprise system integrations
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid development methodologies
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or deployment automation
• Experience with application performance, scalability, security, and reliability
• Experience working with Construction or Hospitality business processes
• Relevant technical, cloud, Agile, or architecture certifications are an advantage
