ABOUT SKYDOG
Skydog Ops builds CRM and AI systems that actually work: Salesforce and HubSpot implementations that go live on time, and AI-native workflows that automate the work your team is currently doing manually. We are one of the fastest-growing AI transformation and RevOps implementation firms in the US and the highest-rated Salesforce + HubSpot implementation firm on G2. Our clients include large-scale financial services firms and high-growth B2B tech companies. We have ~20 people with plans to scale. The best people we hire lean into their work, own the outcomes, and grow into expanding leadership.
ROLE OVERVIEW
A Skydog Solution Architect leads large, complex engagements with full accountability for both client outcomes and the team doing the work. You can handle whatever a client puts in front of you; the only escalation is when senior executive presence is required. You are developing the people on your client teams while simultaneously being Skydog's foremost technical voice in the market: owning a deep area of expertise, leading the engagements that demand it, and building the broader team's capability in it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Owning a $600k+ book of business. You lead large, complex client engagements with real executive accountability. You're the person clients rely on when the situation is hard and the stakes are high.
Developing your client team. You are accountable for the people working in your book of business. That means active delegation, consistent feedback, and building the skills of the people working underneath you. If someone on your team isn't performing, you address it. If someone is ready for more, you create the opportunity.
Owning a deep technical expertise area. Every SA owns something: Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, AI-native workflow architecture, Revenue Cloud, Clay, or another domain where they are Skydog's authority. You lead engagements that require it, you build the team's capability in it, and your expertise is part of what we put in front of prospects.
Serving as Skydog's primary sales engineering resource on complex deals.
You scope projects, design solutions, and give prospects the technical confidence to move forward on our most complicated proposals. You're fluent in how work is structured, priced, and delivered, and you translate that into something clients can say yes to.
Navigating complex client situations independently.
Organizational politics, unhappy stakeholders, contract friction, difficult conversations; you handle these without needing to pull in leadership. You know when to escalate and when to own it, and you default to owning it.
Setting the technical standard. You are the benchmark for what excellent technical work looks like at Skydog. You're actively involved in ensuring the work that comes out of your engagements is durable, scalable, and worth pointing to.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You've run large, complex client accounts independently. You've managed relationships across multiple stakeholder levels, navigated difficult situations without pulling in a safety net, and been the person clients trusted to lead.
You've developed people.
You've managed client teams, given real feedback, and built someone's capability. You don't let underperformance linger and you don't hoard work. You delegate with intention and hold people accountable for outcomes.
You have deep technical expertise in at least one area. You're not a generalist who knows a little about everything. You know one domain (Salesforce, HubSpot, AI, Clay or a specific product area) at a level where you can lead the hardest engagements in that space and teach others.
You're a credible technical voice in sales.
You've scoped complex engagements, contributed to proposals, and helped close deals by giving prospects confidence in the approach. You understand commercial dynamics and can translate technical architecture into business value.
You handle hard situations without flinching. Difficult client conversations, organizational friction, technical setbacks; you've been in those situations and you've come out with the relationship intact. You're comfortable being the decision-maker when the situation is ambiguous.
You want to build Skydog, not just run your accounts.
The SA role comes with equity because we expect SAs to care about the firm's success — shaping how we sell, developing the team's capability, and raising the standard for what Skydog delivers.
