Solution Architect (Security)

Responsibilities:

1.      Responsible for engaging with customer technical leaders and CXOs about Security strategy and roadmap; customer requirements analysis and gap assessment; Promoting HUAWEI Cloud as technology vendor of cloud projects.

2.      Based on Huawei's cloud product and solution capabilities, produce security architecture design and conduct PoCs, work across internal and external team to resolve issues during the PoC and provide training/enablement for customers.

3.      Gain insight into customers' current situation and future target, coordinate product teams and professional service teams, and help customers build the entire Security design and best practise.

4.      Business trip required within Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

Infrastructure & Network Security Secure network design (segmentation, VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation); Zero Trust architecture principles; cloud-native network constructs (VPC, security groups, NACLs, route tables)

Hybrid & On-Premises Security Securing hybrid deployments spanning on-prem data centers and cloud, including identity federation, consistent policy enforcement, and secure workload migration; on-prem infrastructure security (virtualization, storage, legacy network security); hybrid connectivity design (dedicated line, VPN, SD-WAN) with consistent security posture across environments

Cloud Security Cloud-native security services (IAM, KMS, WAF, security posture management) on Huawei Cloud and/or other major CSPs; landing zone design (multi-account/org structure, guardrails, baseline security controls); shared responsibility model; container/Kubernetes security; regional compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, APAC data sovereignty)

Application Security DevSecOps/secure SDLC, SAST/DAST familiarity, API and WAF-based protection design

Security Operations & Access SOC/SIEM/SOAR concepts, IAM/PAM/SSO/MFA design, incident response and vulnerability management

Third-Party Integration Multi-vendor architecture design, interoperability standards (SAML, OAuth/OIDC), partner/ISV ecosystem familiarity

Consulting & Problem-Solving

• Strong solution architecture skills — able to design and defend security architectures directly with customers
• Structured approach to requirements gathering, gap analysis, and roadmap development
• Cross-functional coordination with product, professional services, and delivery teams
• Strong written and verbal communication for architecture documentation and executive discussions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 8+ years in IT security, with 3–5+ years in security architecture, consulting, or pre-sales, including exposure to senior enterprise environments
• CISSP, CCSP, or CISM
• AWS/Azure/GCP security specialty certs equivalent; TOGAF a plus
• Direct CXO/senior stakeholder engagement experience in a customer-facing role
• Hands-on experience with a major public cloud
• Experience leading PoCs and producing architecture designs/RFP responses for enterprise accounts
• Travel within the Asia Pacific region required
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
