Solution Engineer (Custom Integration)

Experience: 2-3 Years

We are seeking a Solution Engineer with experience in backend development, REST API integrations, log analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, database operations, and custom website integrations. This role involves designing reliable solutions, resolving frontend, backend, and database issues, and supporting integrations with third-party platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end website and REST API integrations.

• Support the integration of websites with e-commerce platforms, including storefronts, product catalogs, carts,

checkout, orders, inventory, payments, and fulfillment workflows.

• Work with REST APIs, HTTP methods, authentication, webhooks, pagination, and rate limits.

• Test and troubleshoot APIs using Postman or similar tools.

• Analyze logs, request and response payloads, status codes, and error messages.

• Debug frontend, backend, database, webhook, and third-party integration issues.

• Use browser developer tools, API testing tools, logs, and database queries for troubleshooting.

• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, reporting, and issue resolution.

• Understand relational database concepts, including tables, relationships, indexes, joins, transactions, and data integrity.

• Support database operations such as data analysis, query optimization, backups, migrations, and identifying data inconsistencies.

• Support Shopify and similar platforms, including products, orders, inventory, payments, and fulfillment.

• Implement logging, monitoring, retries, timeouts, and error-handling mechanisms.

• Prepare technical documentation and incident reports.

• Collaborate with development, QA, product, and support teams.

• Provide production support and conduct root-cause analysis.

Required Skills

• Backend development knowledge in Node.js, PHP, Java, or a similar technology.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and browser debugging.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, webhooks, and HTTP methods and status

codes.

• Hands-on experience with Postman and API testing.

• Ability to analyze logs and identify root causes.

• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar systems.

• Understanding of database tables, relationships, joins, indexes, transactions, and data integrity.

• Knowledge of Shopify or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with API keys, OAuth, bearer tokens, HTTPS, and secure data handling.

• Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

B.Tech/B.E./BCA/MCA or an equivalent technical background.
