Solution Engineer – Energy Storage

Key Responsibilities

• Energy Storage Solutions Design: Develop and propose technical solutions for C&I and utility-scale energy storage projects, with a particular focus on large-scale BESS applications.
• Technical Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, prepare technical proposals, and recommend suitable energy storage solutions.
• Electrical Engineering Analysis: Assess power system requirements, electrical configurations, system integration considerations, and project-specific technical challenges.
• Customer Engagement: Communicate with customers, project developers, EPC contractors, distributors, and other stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and present proposed solutions.
• Project Support: Provide technical support throughout the project development and pre-sales stages, including solution configuration, technical documentation, and feasibility assessments.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal engineering, product, and sales teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and local market needs.
• Market Development: Support the development of energy storage opportunities in Ukraine by providing technical expertise for customer meetings, project discussions, and sales activities.
• Business Travel: Travel to project sites and customer locations across Ukraine when required, particularly for large-scale energy storage projects. Travel will be planned to locations away from frontline areas.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and high-voltage or other relevant power engineering applications.
• Proven experience in energy storage solution design or engineering, particularly in large-scale BESS projects .
• Experience with commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage solutions is also required or highly desirable.
• Understanding of battery energy storage systems, power conversion systems (PCS), inverters, grid integration, and related electrical equipment.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, system configurations, engineering documentation, or customer-specific technical solutions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Language requirements: Fluent Ukrainian and English are essential. Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.
• Must be based in Kyiv or be willing to work primarily from Kyiv.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and customer locations across Ukraine, subject to security conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with utility-scale or grid-connected BESS projects.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, renewable energy developers, utilities, or large commercial and industrial customers.
• Familiarity with the Ukrainian energy market and local power infrastructure.
• Experience working with international energy storage manufacturers or inverter solution providers.
