Solution Engineer – German Speaking

About the Role

Our client is looking for a German-speaking Solution Engineer to join a growing technology team in Dublin, supporting customers throughout the technical sales and onboarding journey.

This is a customer-facing, pre-sales role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of AI, APIs, cloud technology and solution design .

You will partner closely with sales teams and customers, leading technical discovery conversations, understanding integration requirements, designing suitable solutions and helping remove technical blockers during the sales process.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers and understand their integration and API requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and recommended architectures.
• Support sales teams throughout the pre-sales process as the technical subject matter expert.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical walkthroughs and light proofs of concept.
• Advise customers on API integrations, including authentication, endpoints, rate limits and data flows.
• Support conversations around security, data handling, access controls and compliance.
• Identify technical blockers and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Create solution documentation, architecture diagrams and onboarding guidance.
• Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams.
• Support the technical handover from pre-sales into implementation and onboarding.

What We’re Looking For

• Fluent German and English (C1 level).
• 3+ years' experience as a Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solution Consultant, Solution Architect, Technical Account Manager or similar.
• Strong understanding of APIs and integrations , including REST APIs and authentication.
• Experience conducting technical discovery and translating customer requirements into solutions.
• Good understanding of cloud, SaaS or AI-driven technologies.
• Comfortable discussing security topics including encryption, data handling, identity/access management and GDPR.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience creating technical documentation or architecture diagrams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI, API-first or developer-focused products.
• Familiarity with JSON, scripting or technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR or similar security standards.
• Experience supporting SMB customers or working within a fast-paced sales environment.
