About the Role

Our client — a global technology and professional services leader — is hiring a Solution Engineer to sit at the technical heart of the customer journey, from first discovery call through to successful deployment.

You'll be the go-to technical authority for prospective and onboarding customers: running architecture discussions, scoping API integrations, and working through security and compliance requirements. You'll turn business needs into concrete technical solutions — advising on configuration, integration patterns, and best practice — and clear the technical roadblocks that stand between a customer and a successful go-live.

This is a hands-on, technically grounded role for someone who enjoys solving real integration problems and explaining complex systems clearly to a range of audiences.

What You'll Do

• Solution Architecture & Design
• Own technical solution design end-to-end: document recommended architectures, configuration steps, and onboarding plans
• Translate customer workflows into architecture patterns, configuration options, and implementation approaches
• Spot technical blockers early and build mitigation plans before they slow deployment
• API & Integration Guidance
• Advise on API integration — authentication, rate limits, endpoints, performance, and data flow design
• Run technical discovery sessions covering integration needs, API usage, and system dependencies
• Build and deliver demos, walkthroughs, and light proofs of concept to demonstrate technical capability

Security & Compliance

• Own conversations on security posture: data handling, encryption, authentication, access control, and compliance
• Complete customer security questionnaires and support risk assessments alongside internal security teams
• Explain how the platform meets enterprise-grade security and regulatory standards
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
• Work with Product and Engineering to escalate technical issues, shape roadmap input, and feed back customer insight
• Support Customer Success through the early post-sale technical handoff
• Build out internal knowledge bases, FAQs, and technical playbooks

What You'll Bring

Essential

• 3+ years in a technical pre-sales role — Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Account Manager, or similar
• Solid grasp of API concepts: RESTful design, authentication patterns, integration workflow design, error handling
• Experience running technical discovery and converting requirements into integration architecture
• Working knowledge of security practices — encryption, data residency, IAM, network controls
• Strong communicator, equally comfortable with engineers and business stakeholders
• Practical experience with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, or AI/ML-driven products
• Able to produce architecture diagrams, solution documentation, and configuration guidelines

Nice to Have

• Background supporting AI, API-first, or developer-centric products
• Comfortable with scripting, JSON payloads, or light troubleshooting
• Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar enterprise security frameworks
• Experience working with SMB or high-velocity commercial teams
