Solution Implementation Engineer – Germany (Contract)

Telecom Digital Twin | Network Data | Semantic Modelling

Our client, a leading provider of Digital Twin and semantic‑driven network inventory solutions, is seeking an experienced Ontology Solution Implementation Engineer to join their delivery team on a contract basis in Germany. This is a hands‑on technical role focused on analysing telecom network data, implementing ontology‑based models, and integrating multiple OSS/NMS and inventory sources into a unified Digital Twin environment.

Role Overview

You will work as part of a customer‑facing delivery team, supporting the implementation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of ontology‑based solutions. The role requires strong telecom network knowledge, data analysis capability, and practical technical skills across integration, scripting and Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse telecom network, OSS/NMS and inventory data to understand structure, relationships and data quality.
  • Configure and implement ontology solution components using the client’s modelling framework.
  • Develop and maintain data loaders and integrations for structured and semi‑structured data (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, correlation and reconciliation across multiple network sources.
  • Implement modelling and business rules to create relationships between network, service and inventory entities.
  • Use SQL and SPARQL to interrogate, validate and troubleshoot source and graph data.
  • Develop scripts and utilities for analysis, automation, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Support solution builds, releases, deployments and migrations across development, test and production environments.
  • Work directly with customer SMEs to clarify requirements and validate solution outputs.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews and other delivery activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of telecom networks and network inventory concepts.
  • Experience with OSS/BSS, NMS/EMS or other operational network data sources.
  • Strong capability in data analysis, SQL and troubleshooting.
  • Linux/RHEL proficiency, including command‑line investigation and diagnostics.
  • Experience with structured/semi‑structured data formats and APIs.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash/Shell).
  • Ability to understand data relationships and perform mapping, correlation and reconciliation.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working directly with customer technical teams.
  • Typically 5+ years’ experience delivering data‑driven solutions in the telecom domain.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with ontology‑based or semantic network inventory solutions.
  • Knowledge of RDF, SPARQL, OWL or knowledge‑graph technologies.
  • Experience with graph databases (e.g., Stardog).
  • Kubernetes/K3S, containerisation or automation tooling (Ansible).
  • Experience with major vendor NMS/EMS platforms (Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, ZTE).
  • ETL/data ingestion experience (files, APIs, SFTP, message/event interfaces).
  • Git or similar source‑control tools.

Candidate Profile

We prioritise individuals with strong telecom network data knowledge and demonstrable capability in two or more of the following:

  • Telecom network technologies and OSS/NMS/inventory platforms
  • Linux/RHEL and technical troubleshooting
  • Data analysis, SQL and scripting
  • Data integration, ETL and APIs
  • Knowledge graphs, RDF/SPARQL and semantic modelling
  • Kubernetes/K3S and application infrastructure
  • Customer‑facing technical delivery

Ontology‑specific knowledge can be developed through training. Strong underlying telecom, data and integration skills are essential.
