Solution Manager - BFSI/Insurance

ROLE OVERVIEW

MathCo is a global AI and analytics company headquartered in Chicago, US and Bangalore, India, helping Fortune 500 clients across CPG, Retail, Pharma, and Finance turn fragmented data into owned intelligence and build AI-native capabilities at scale.

We are looking for a Solution Manager to lead pre-sales and solutioning for our BFSI portfolio, with a focus on Insurance. You will shape and sell Agentic AI-led solutions for US clients, from discovery and architecture to proposal, pricing, and executive storytelling, partnering with Sales, Delivery, and CoE teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own solutioning for BFSI/Insurance RFPs, RFIs, proactive proposals, and capability pitches for US clients.
• Lead discovery workshops to frame business problems and success metrics, and translate them into solution blueprints.
• Architect Agentic AI, GenAI, and ML solutions for BFSI use cases such as claims automation, underwriting assistance, fraud detection, KYC/AML, collections, and advisor/customer servicing.
• Scope POCs with clear hypotheses, success criteria, effort estimates, and commercial constructs.
• Build proposal narratives end-to-end: executive summary, solution architecture, delivery approach, team, and pricing.
• Design and deliver high-impact presentations for C-suite and VP-level stakeholders; craft POVs that position MathCo as the preferred AI partner in BFSI.
• Partner with Account and Customer Success leaders on account strategy and pursuit plans; work with CoE and Delivery leads to keep solutions deliverable and commercially viable.
• Build reusable proposal assets, solution accelerators, and BFSI-specific IP.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• 8+ years in data, analytics, or AI/ML consulting, product, or solutioning roles.
• Minimum 2 years building and selling solutions and architectures with demonstrable Agentic AI depth for business problems, owning proposals and pitches end-to-end.
• Track record of winning engagements with US enterprise clients in BFSI, preferably Insurance.

Domain & Technical Knowledge

• Deep BFSI domain understanding, especially Insurance value chain: distribution, underwriting, policy servicing, claims, and risk/compliance.
• Hands-on fluency in agentic architectures: multi-agent orchestration, RAG, tool use, guardrails, evaluation, and enterprise LLM deployment patterns, plus core ML/GenAI concepts.
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and its data/AI services.
• Awareness of BFSI data, security, and regulatory considerations (e.g., PII, model risk, explainability).

Pre-Sales Skills

• Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills; able to simplify complex AI for senior, non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead RFP/RFI responses under tight deadlines, with strong win themes and differentiators.
• Commercial acumen across effort estimation, pricing models, and deal shaping.

Mindset

• Self-starter with high ownership; comfortable with ambiguity and collaborating across US based peers

GOOD TO HAVE

• Databricks knowledge (Lakehouse, Mosaic AI, Unity Catalog).
• Experience at a global analytics/AI consulting firm with a BFSI vertical.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks and enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI).
• MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
