Solutions Accountant | Junior–Intermediate

The Solutions Accountant is a client-facing role that combines practical accounting knowledge, client engagement and emerging AI technology.

The primary purpose of this position is to support accounting firms in successfully adopting and using Flynn, our AI Accountant within their existing accounting workflows.

Working closely with our clients and internal AI engineering team, the Solutions Accountant will help onboard accounting firms, demonstrate Flynn's capabilities, support users, evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs and contribute to the ongoing development of our AI solutions.

This role provides a unique opportunity for a junior to intermediate accountant to develop practical skills in artificial intelligence while applying their existing accounting knowledge in a rapidly evolving technology environment.

Previous AI experience is not required. Training and ongoing exposure to AI technologies will form an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding and Engagement

• Work directly with accounting firms across New Zealand and Australia to support their onboarding and adoption of Flynn.
• Assist clients with connecting their accounting systems and setting up their workflows.
• Conduct client demonstrations, training sessions and product walkthroughs.
• Develop an understanding of each client's accounting processes, requirements and operational challenges.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing practical support and helping them gain confidence in using Flynn.
• Build positive, long-term relationships with accounting firms and their teams.

Accounting and AI Solutions

• Use Flynn to undertake and support accounting tasks, including GST, bookkeeping, reconciliations and other compliance activities.
• Apply practical accounting knowledge to assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, completeness and relevance.
• Identify accounting exceptions, workflow issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist clients in understanding how AI can be applied to their existing accounting processes.
• Support the implementation and testing of new accounting capabilities as Flynn continues to develop.

Product Development and Collaboration

• Work closely with AgenticAI's engineering team to communicate accounting requirements and client feedback.
• Translate practical accounting processes into clearly defined requirements for AI development.
• Participate in testing new features and evaluating accounting outputs.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improvements to existing workflows.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Flynn based on practical client experience. Skills and Experience

Essential

• Experience working in an accounting practice, ideally at a junior to intermediate level.
• A good working understanding of Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
• Familiarity with general accounting processes, including GST, reconciliations and compliance workflows.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with clients.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently when required.
• An interest in technology, automation and artificial intelligence.
• A positive attitude towards learning and adapting to new ways of working.
