Solutions AI Engineer - Remote - ASAP

Key Responsibilities

Build and delivery

• Build and configure voice AI agents on the client's AI platform, from initial requirements through to go live.

• Interpret and execute against signed Scopes of Work, flagging scope gaps, dependencies or delivery risks early.

• Troubleshoot and iterate on agent performance post launch, using client feedback and call data to refine prompts, conversation flows and integrations.

Client engagement

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout delivery.

• Run discovery and requirement gathering calls independently, and translate client needs into working builds.

• Manage client expectations across the delivery cycle, including timelines, trade offs and change requests.

Project management

• Manage multiple concurrent builds in Jira, keeping tickets, timelines and stakeholders up to date.

• Maintain clean handover with Sales at the start of each engagement, and with support or account management at go live.

Selection criteria

Essential

• Fluent, articulate English, written and spoken. This role is client facing, working with United States clients daily and Australian clients occasionally.

• Very high proficiency in prompting and instructing AI models. This is the core skill behind nearly every meaningful build, so strong prompt engineering craft is essential: structuring instructions, handling edge cases, and iterating based on real conversation transcripts.

• Basic understanding of APIs, including reading documentation, working with request and response payloads, and troubleshooting simple integrations.

• Strong client communication skills, with the ability to run requirement gathering calls and manage expectations independently.

• Solid project management skills, comfortable owning multiple builds at once, end to end.

• Sharp troubleshooting instincts and comfort working through ambiguous or incomplete specifications.

Desirable

• Prior experience with Jira or a similar project and ticket tracking tool.

• Background in voice AI, conversational AI, IVR or contact centre technology.

• Basic scripting ability (Python or similar) for testing or light automation.

Measures of success

• Projects delivered on scope, on schedule and to the agreed acceptance criteria.

• Agent quality at go live, measured by containment, escalation rates and client reported call outcomes.

• Client satisfaction and reference ability across delivered engagements.

• Accuracy and currency of delivery tracking in Jira.
