Solutions Architect - AI

Primary job role

The role externally plays a strategic client-facing role, guiding organizations in shaping their technology landscape to support business growth, digital transformation, and innovation. The role focuses on advising clients on enterprise architecture, AI strategy, and the development of scalable digital products and platforms. The role is responsible internally for designing, governing, and scaling enterprise-grade AI and GenAI solutions. Essentially, this role bridges business strategy and advanced AI technologies, ensuring secure, ethical, and value-driven AI adoption across the organization.

Main duties/responsibilities

*External/Client Facing

• Serve as a trusted advisor to client CIOs and C-suite leaders , aligning technology architecture with business strategy.
• Lead enterprise architecture assessments , defining target architectures across business, application, data, and technology domains.
• Drive AI strategy discussions with clients , identifying opportunities for AI-enabled services, automation, and data-driven decision making.
• Support the design and development of digital products and platforms that create new revenue opportunities for clients.
• Provide architecture leadership during pre-sales, solution design, and advisory engagements .
• Translate complex technology concepts into clear business value and transformation roadmaps .
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices .

*Internal/Product & Technology Innovation

• Design end-to-end AI and GenAI architectures (ML, DL, LLMs, RAG, Agents)
• Define AI reference architectures , standards, and best practices
• Lead AI solution design across cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Establish AI governance, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks
• Guide teams on model selection, evaluation, deployment, and lifecycle management
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business stakeholders
• Drive performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimisation of AI systems

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in enterprise architecture and digital advisory
• Expertise in AI, data platforms, and modern application ecosystems
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior client stakeholders
• Experience supporting consulting engagements, solution architecture, and innovation initiatives

Technology & Architecture

• Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, LLMs
• Model orchestration, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases
• Cloud AI services (Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, AWS, GCP)
• MLOps / LLMOps pipelines and monitoring
• APIs, microservices, containers, and event-driven architectures

Governance, Security & Compliance

• TOGAF qualification and/or experience using it in enterprise-grade solutions
• Define responsible AI, ethics, and risk mitigation strategies
• Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
• Establish model validation, monitoring, and audit mechanisms

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as the AI technical authority across initiatives
• Mentor architects, engineers, and data scientists
• Partner with business leaders to translate use cases into AI solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software/data architecture
• 3+ years designing and deploying AI/ML solutions at scale
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms and enterprise systems

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GenAI, LLM frameworks, and agentic architectures
• Azure AI / Azure OpenAI hands-on experience
• Industry certifications in cloud or AI architecture
