Autolink is a global automotive Tier 1 technology company specializing in intelligent cockpit, IVI, and domain controller platforms. As part of our European expansion strategy, we are establishing a new R&D center in Bucharest to support leading European OEM programs and accelerate the development of next-generation cockpit solutions.

We are looking for a Solution Architect / Principal Solution Engineer with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to join our growing European team.

This role is ideal for an experienced automotive system engineer who enjoys customer engagement, technical consulting, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with European OEM customers and engineering partners to identify stakeholder needs, clarify system requirements, and define architecture solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Analyze customer SOR (Statement of Requirements) and transform requirements into technical solution proposals and system architectures.
• Design and present intelligent cockpit and domain controller solutions covering both software and hardware perspectives.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture presentations, and customer-facing solution materials.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, system, and product teams across Europe and China to define feasible technical solutions.
• Support presales activities, RFQs, technical workshops, and customer demonstrations.
• Provide technical guidance on system architecture, platform capabilities, and technology roadmaps.
• Act as a technical bridge between European customers and global R&D teams throughout the solution development process.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 product development.
• Hands-on experience delivering automotive products from development through SOP (Start of Production).
• Fluent English (spoken and written), capable of independently leading technical meetings, presentations, and customer discussions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment.
• Experience working in cross-cultural and distributed engineering teams.

Technical Qualifications

Strong understanding of intelligent cockpit and automotive electronic architectures, including:

Hardware

• SoC, MCU, and embedded computing platforms
• Video interfaces
• Automotive Ethernet
• CAN / CAN FD
• Power management fundamentals
• Hardware integration concepts

Software

• BSP (Board Support Package)
• Middleware
• Application framework
• Embedded Linux / Android / QNX architecture (experience with at least one is preferred)
• Software and hardware integration
• Experience with system modeling using UML and/or SysML preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with European OEMs or global Tier 1 suppliers.
• Familiarity with intelligent cockpit, IVI, or domain controller platforms.
• Experience in customer-facing technical consulting or solution architecture roles.
• Understanding of automotive development processes such as ASPICE or V-model.
• German or French language skills are considered a plus.
• Experience with architecture modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody, or Cameo is a plus.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and ARXML is a plus.
• Knowledge of system and software lifecycle standards

Candidates should be willing to work full-time from our Bucharest R&D Center and participate in customer meetings and technical workshops as required.
