- Payments & Integration Execution: Lead the practical integration of the platform with commercial banks, payment service providers, MMOs, and Open Banking APIs.
- Hands-on DLT Management: Configure and maintain Hyperledger Fabric components, write/review smart contracts, and manage identity services and Certificate Authorities.
- Cloud & DevOps Security: Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform; implement security-by-design patterns (RBAC, Secrets Management, TLS).
- Technical Mentorship: Guide mid-to-junior engineers, perform code/architecture reviews, and maintain clean technical documentation.
Technical Environment (Hands-on Proficiency)
- Development: Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, React.
- Architecture & Messaging: Microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Kafka, API Gateways.
- Infrastructure & DLT: Hyperledger Fabric, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
- Payments & Security: Basic exposure to ISO 20022/8583, NIBSS integrations, OAuth2, OIDC, PKI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of active software engineering and systems design experience, preferably within the Nigerian fintech or banking space.
- Deep practical experience with containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) and event-driven microservices.
- Familiarity with or strong foundational knowledge of distributed ledger technology (Hyperledger Fabric preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to be close to the code while steering architecture.
