Overview

We are recruiting for a Solution Architect with strong AWS and web application architecture experience to j oin our client company’s Trade Engineering team to help design scalable, secure, and reusable solutions across the enterprise.

This role will focus on cloud architecture for modern web applications, with an emphasis on both containerized and serverless architectures . The ideal candidate understands how to translate business and technical requirements into practical AWS architectures and is comfortable using agentic workflows to accelerate architecture activities, such as automatically generating diagrams, validating designs against standards, and identifying architectural gaps.

Responsibilities

• Design and define scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures for web applications .
• Develop architecture patterns for both containerized and serverless applications , selecting the appropriate approach based on business and technical requirements.
• Work with AWS services and architecture patterns including EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, event-driven architectures , and related cloud services.
• Establish and promote reusable architecture patterns, standards, and enterprise services across development teams.
• Evaluate application architectures against enterprise standards and identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Leverage agentic workflows and AI-assisted tools to automate and accelerate architecture activities, including diagram generation, architecture validation, and standards compliance checks.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to guide application design from early concepts through implementation.
• Provide technical direction and architectural guidance across multiple teams and initiatives.
• Contribute to cloud architecture standards, documentation, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Support modern web architecture patterns, including Micro Frontends (MFE) where appropriate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall experience with 3+ years of hands-on application architecture experience specifically with AWS.
• Strong understanding of fundamental web application architecture , including scalability, availability, security, networking, APIs, data flows, and application integration.
• Experience designing and architecting applications using AWS cloud services.
• Experience with containerized architectures , particularly AWS EKS and/or ECS .
• Experience with serverless architectures , including AWS Lambda.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and AWS eventing services.
• Experience designing cloud-native applications that integrate multiple AWS services.
• Proven experience using agentic workflows or AI-assisted tools to support architecture activities, such as generating architecture diagrams, validating designs, or checking solutions against established standards.
• Experience developing or applying reusable enterprise architecture patterns and services.
• Micro Frontend (MFE) experience is a nice to have , but strong AWS web application architecture experience is the primary focus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical architectural solutions.
