What they need

⚡ Are you a Solutions Architect? If you are looking for a great team with a high technical level, where proactivity and the desire to do different things are valued,

VASS IS YOUR PLACE!:

We are a global digital transformation company with a team of 4,900 global players in 26 countries in Europe, America and Asia who work together to put organizations at the forefront of innovation by bringing together talent, knowledge and technology.

Our approach is based on conscious technology, through which we create positive environments and meaningful opportunities, always in our own way, making the complex simple. 🤘

What you will do:

  • Define, design, and detail the architecture framework for the LIMS, including guidelines, components, reference models, and templates that Development, DevOps, Frontend, and Data teams can follow.
  • Define and oversee the evolution roadmap from the legacy system to the target solution, identifying dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans in collaboration with the rest of the team.
  • Design technical solutions and recommend the tools and services required for implementation, participating in PoC evaluations and technology assessments when needed — without necessarily being the implementer.
  • Participate in requirements gathering alongside users, the Product Owner, and the analysis team to ensure completeness and architectural alignment.
  • Ensure the solution complies with the regulations and policies established by the company's DPO and Cybersecurity directorate, guiding the delivery teams on the mechanisms and patterns to implement.
  • Define and enforce integration patterns with surrounding systems (ERP, eQMS, EMS, etc.), ensuring consistency, reliability, and maintainability across the ALS ecosystem.
  • Act as the technical reference and mentor for all delivery teams, promoting best practices in architecture, security, and software quality.
  • Communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders, programme management, and end users.
  • Produce and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), reference architectures, technical roadmaps, and architecture track backlogs.

What you should know/have to succeed in this role:

  • 8–10+ years in software architecture roles, with at least 3–5 years leading architecture in large-scale, multi-region programmes.
  • Deep knowledge of microservices, modular architecture, domain boundaries, APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns.
  • Experience with legacy system coexistence and incremental migration to modern architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of cloud architecture on Microsoft Azure, including resilience, scalability, and multi-region/multi-tenant deployment patterns.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture: data ownership, data quality, master/reference data, traceability, and migration risk — sufficient to guide the Data team effectively.
  • Ability to define and enforce non-functional requirements: performance, security, auditability, observability, reliability, maintainability, and operability.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code principles — sufficient to guide the DevOps team and validate platform decisions.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scaled Agile environments, preferably SAFe-based delivery and Agile Release Trains (ART).
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their technical implications in distributed, multi-region systems.
  • Knowledge of security by design principles and experience applying them in distributed architectures.
  • Familiarity with audit trails, data integrity, and traceability requirements in regulated industries (ISO, GxP, or similar frameworks).
  • Proven experience modernising enterprise applications from monolithic architectures to cloud-native microservices.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems challenges: service boundaries, data consistency, messaging patterns, fault tolerance, observability, and scalability.
  • Strong written and spoken English.

If you want to join a dynamic company where technological challenges will be found in your day to day, we are waiting for you in the great VASS team.

We want you to be the best version of yourself: Transformative, Creative, Honest, Vibrant.

VASS is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, marital status or disability. Our recruitment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.
