Solutions Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise solution architecture, cloud platforms, system integrations, and modern application development, along with the ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and effective technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable solution architectures.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology platforms, software solutions, and services.
• Design and oversee application architectures, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and system integrations.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, business objectives, security, compliance, and data protection requirements.
• Develop architecture diagrams, reference models, technical standards, and governance documentation.
• Define architecture principles and patterns while identifying technical debt, aging technologies, and opportunities for modernization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support technology roadmaps and strategic planning.
• Support platforms and applications across standards development, publication workflows, knowledge management, research, and collaboration.
• Work with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, APIs, LIMS/ELN, and custom applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Experience designing and implementing complex enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with custom software development, SaaS/PaaS platforms, and IaaS environments.
• Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, modern application architectures, and data interoperability.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern development frameworks.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, vendor management, and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Workday, or research-enabling technology platforms.
• Additional certifications in cloud technologies, enterprise applications, or custom application development.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
