Solutions Architect (Software) - BGC/HYBRID

QUALIFICATIONS: Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Relevant architecture certifications are preferred (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Integration Architecture).

Experience

• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems analysis, solution design, or architecture roles.
• 3+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Experience delivering complex business applications, integrations, cloud-based solutions, and digital platforms.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Experience working within Agile, DevOps, and modern software delivery environments.

AI & Emerging Technology Expectations

• Understanding of Generative AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, and AI-enabled business capabilities.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend AI-enabled solutions when appropriate to business needs.
• Knowledge of AI solution architecture patterns, APIs, data pipelines, and integration considerations.
• Awareness of Responsible AI principles, data governance, privacy, security, and ethical considerations related to AI adoption.
• Ability to partner with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, and Engineering teams in implementing AI-enabled solutions within enterprise standards.
  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end technology solutions that address business requirements while aligning with enterprise architecture standards.
• Produce architecture deliverables including solution blueprints, application designs, integration models, data flows, and deployment architectures.
• Define solution architecture patterns and design approaches that promote scalability, reliability, maintainability, and reuse.
• Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements including performance, availability, security, and resilience.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend appropriate solutions based on business and technical requirements.

Architecture Governance & Compliance

• Participate in architecture review and governance processes.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles, standards, and approved technology patterns.
• Identify architecture risks, dependencies, and technical constraints and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Review technical designs produced by engineering teams to ensure alignment with approved architecture.
• Support technology lifecycle management and technical debt reduction initiatives.

Business & Stakeholder Partnership

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, project teams, and technical teams to understand requirements and define solution approaches.
• Translate business requirements into architecture designs and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and architecture recommendations to delivery teams.
• Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Act as a trusted advisor on solution-related technology decisions.

Technology Transformation & Modernization

• Support cloud migration, digital transformation, application modernization, and platform enhancement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology effectiveness through simplification, automation, integration, and modernization.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps by identifying future-state architecture opportunities and dependencies.
• Leverage emerging technologies where appropriate to support business objectives and innovation initiatives.

Delivery Enablement

• Work closely with project and engineering teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
• Provide architecture oversight during implementation to ensure solutions are delivered according to approved designs.
• Support issue resolution and architectural decision-making during project execution.
• Facilitate successful transition of solutions into production and operational support teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture practices, standards, and methodologies.
