Location: ACT - onsite 
Security clearance: Minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) 
Duration: Initial 9-month term, with a possible 12-month extension

About the role 

1 and One is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who can turn complex requirements into practical, secure technology solutions. 

Working closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams, you will shape system designs and support their integration into operational environments. This role combines architecture with practical delivery: clear designs, sound technical judgement and evidence that solutions work as intended. 
What you will do 

• Design scalable, secure and sustainable solutions that meet architecture, technology and engineering standards.
• Develop system design documentation covering architecture, integration, security and performance.
• Define compliance and assurance approaches, with objective evidence that solutions meet functional requirements.
• Support system design, hardware build and integration activities through to production rollout.
• Maintain technical documentation, bringing specialist input into designs through peer review.
• Assess design changes and architectural variations, identifying impacts, risks and dependencies.

What you will bring 

• At least 7 years' experience as a Solutions Architect in complex ICT or engineering environments.
• Strong experience developing system architecture and detailed design documentation covering integration, security and performance.
• Practical understanding of hardware and software integration, including the transition from design to production.
• Experience defining compliance and assurance methods, validating functionality and managing technical, security and operational risks.
• The ability to explain technical decisions clearly and work collaboratively with stakeholders, subject matter experts and delivery teams.

Experience with integrated technology platforms in secure operational environments will be highly regarded.
