Solutions Consultant Performance Software

The Solutions Consultant – Performance Software will help customers improve operational performance, safety, reliability, and workforce effectiveness through Emerson and AspenTech performance software solutions. This customer-facing role will focus on Emerson Alarm Management software, including AgileOps, and simulation software including PredictPro, Mimic, and AspenTech HYSYS. The position combines process industry knowledge, technical credibility, and consultative selling to identify performance software opportunities, shape solution strategies, and support successful project execution.

The role will support customers across upstream and downstream Oil & Gas, mining, pharmaceuticals, power generation and distribution, chemicals, food and beverage, and pulp and paper.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Emerson Performance Software opportunities through each stage of the sales process, from customer discovery and qualification through solution strategy, value development, proposal support, and transition to project execution.

• Position Emerson Alarm Management software, including AgileOps, and simulation solutions including PredictPro, Mimic, and AspenTech HYSYS to address customer needs and improve operational performance.

• Translate customer requirements into solution strategies, implementation approaches, preliminary scopes of work, and value-based recommendations.

• Deliver customer presentations, executive briefings, technical workshops, and solution demonstrations that communicate the value of alarm management, dynamic simulation, operator training, and process modeling.

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, delivery, and partner teams to develop proposals, estimates, pursuit strategies, and implementation plans.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer and internal stakeholders on alarm rationalization, operator effectiveness, simulation strategy, model development, adoption considerations, and sustainment needs.

Key Focus Areas:

• Emerson Performance Software strategy and solution development

• Emerson Alarm Management software, including AgileOps

• Simulation software including PredictPro, Mimic, and AspenTech HYSYS

• Alarm management, operator training, dynamic simulation, process modeling, and operational performance improvement

• Customer discovery, solution scoping, proposal support, and value-based selling

• Cross-functional collaboration with sales, delivery, product, engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, automation, process control, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Experience with alarm management, process simulation, operator training systems, process modeling, or industrial performance software in process manufacturing environments.

• Preferred: familiarity with Emerson and/or AspenTech platforms, especially AgileOps, PredictPro, Mimic, AspenTech HYSYS, or related alarm management and simulation solutions.

• Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to engage technical, operational, commercial, and executive stakeholders.

• Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and project support.
