• Translating requirements into practical solution designs, functional specifications, prototypes and working applications
• Recommending appropriate technologies and innovative approaches to solving business challenges
• Designing and building web applications, business systems, dashboards, workflow automations and integrations
• Using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing and documentation
• Developing solutions that integrate with existing business systems, including Microsoft technologies, and building AI agents where appropriate
• Working with databases, APIs and third-party services to deliver complete, integrated solutions
• Managing testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment and ongoing improvements
• Taking ownership of delivery, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable and maintainable

About you

• Strong business analysis, requirements-gathering and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills, including confident engagement with customers and non-technical stakeholders
• Hands-on experience designing, developing and delivering working software applications or business solutions
• Practical programming experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C# or similar languages
• Good understanding of modern web application development, including front-end interfaces, back-end services and application architecture
• Experience working with relational databases, SQL, data modelling, REST APIs, JSON and system integrations
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, application security and secure data handling
• Familiarity with Git, version control, testing, deployment and supporting applications in production
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, including the ability to review, troubleshoot and validate AI-generated code
• Ability to work independently, learn new technologies quickly and take ownership of solutions from initial requirements through to delivery
