Solutions Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a versatile and technically capable Solutions Engineer / Solutions Lead to manage the end-to-end development, integration, and implementation of technology solutions. The role bridges business requirements and technical execution, covering business analysis, solution design, programming, infrastructure, hardware, and system integration. The successful candidate will translate business needs into practical, scalable, reliable, and secure technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements, challenges, and pain points
• Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements
• Define user journeys, workflows, and acceptance criteria
• Design end-to-end technology solutions based on business and technical requirements
• Define system architecture, workflows, system logic, and data flows
• Design and manage API and third-party system integrations
• Develop or oversee the development of applications, APIs, and system components
• Define and support infrastructure requirements, including servers, cloud, network, and security
• Collaborate closely with business users, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other stakeholders

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in solutions engineering, system analysis, software development, technical consulting, or a similar role
• Strong understanding of business requirements and technology solutions
• Good knowledge of programming, APIs, databases, and system integration
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security concepts
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple areas of a project
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC is an advantage
• Experience with hardware, IoT, or device integration is an advantage
