5V Tech are working with an established global technology company that has spent decades designing and manufacturing connectivity solutions for a wide range of industries. They're gearing up for their next phase of growth and investing in the people who will get them there.

We're looking for a German-speaking IoT Solutions Engineer to be the technical face of their IoT portfolio across the DACH region.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing pre-sales role where you'll work alongside the sales team, product managers and engineers. You'll show customers what the products can do, position them against the competition and feed what you hear in the field back into the product roadmap.

What you'll be working on:

• Building and presenting product demonstrations and maintaining the IoT demo environment
• Running technical workshops and product demos with customers and partners
• Supporting the sales team with technical RFPs and customer technical questions
• Benchmarking and comparing features against competitor products
• Creating technical content such as application notes, white papers, datasheets, design and troubleshooting guides
• Working with Product Management on market and competitive analysis
• Providing engineering feedback on new features and bug fixes
• Supporting product launches, trade shows, conferences and partner training

What they're looking for:

• Fluent German and English
• Extensive customer and field experience with IoT products
• Customer-focused Sales Engineering experience, such as Pre-Sales or Field Application Engineering
• A university degree and/or previous Applications Engineering experience
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle shifting priorities

Bonus points for:

• Software development experience
• A degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or Wireless Communications
• Wireless experience with Cellular (4G LTE, 5G), LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth/BLE
